Community and Enviromental Guidelines

Moea Homestead is part of the broader Metolong community. When you visit Moea Homestead, you are a guest not only of our homestead, but of the Metolong community as a whole. We ask that all visitors conduct themselves with respect for local people, customs, and the surrounding environment.
To help protect the land and waterways, please retain all waste and dispose of it responsibly at Moea Homestead or at your next destination. Onsite ventilated improved pit (VIP) restrooms are provided for your use. Public disposal of waste is not permitted.
Moea Homestead is a working, active homestead. For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing sturdy footwear and practical outdoor clothing suitable for uneven terrain and farm activities.
In keeping with our commitment to community wellbeing and environmental care, picnics are not permitted, and the use of alcohol, tobacco, or vaping products is strictly prohibited on the premises.
By observing these guidelines, you help us preserve Moea Homestead as a place of shared respect, sustainability, and cultural integrity.
Accessibility & Inclusion
Accessibility
Moea Homestead is a new, working homestead situated on a hillside with natural and uneven terrain. While we are committed to improving access over time, our facilities are still evolving and do not yet accommodate all mobility and access needs.
We recognize the importance of accessibility and are actively working toward installing more inclusive accommodations. If you have specific access requirements or questions, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can discuss what support may be possible at this time.
Your feedback helps inform our ongoing efforts to make Moea Homestead more accessible for all.
Moea Homestead is an inclusive, affirming, and respectful space. We welcome people of all genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, religions, races, ethnicities, cultures, and backgrounds.
We are committed to fostering an environment where all visitors feel safe, valued, and treated with dignity. Discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behavior of any kind is not tolerated.
Our work is grounded in mutual respect for one another, the surrounding community, and the land itself.
