Our Team
Moea Homestead is named after the Sekoabetlane Lithebe's (Founder) family dog, Moea, who proudly serves as the Supervisor. You'll often find this self-appointed manager making the rounds, inspecting the grounds, greeting guests, and ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves.
Assisting is Kudu, our enthusiastic Assistant to the Supervisor, who is always ready to lend a paw, accompany Moea on inspections, and enthusiastically welcome guests.
Together, Moea and Kudu take their roles very seriously, especially when it comes to accepting pats or treats.

Moea Homestead is a local social enterprise, and our team is composed mainly of community members from Metolong. We are passionate about growing, sharing, and enjoying food that promotes environmental stewardship, social well-being, and economic resilience.
Our goal is to strengthen the health of both our ecosystems and our communities. As lifelong stewards of the local land and community leaders, each team member carries forward the wisdom of those who came before us while nurturing the land for future generations.
